Article Processing Charges

Solar Cell Insights is open access: every published article is free to read, with no subscription or paywall, for everyone.

There is no article processing charge for manuscripts submitted during the journal's first year. Submission, review, and publication are free to authors throughout this period.

This journal exists to remove barriers to publishing rigorous negative, null and non-optimised results — a fee during this founding period would work against that goal while the journal has no track record to justify one.

If a charge is introduced after the first year, it will be announced with substantial advance notice, and waivers will be available for authors without institutional funding.
